UNI for Change organizes a big contest "My Climate actions"
The competition consists of taking a photograph on the theme of "My Climate actions".
The aim is to illustrate, through a photograph, one of your commitments in favor of the climate. These can be individual or collective actions, at home, in your close circles (family, friends, neighborhood, sports club, music club, ...), on your campus, or even militant commitments, of the associative type or at the political level.
The participation can be individual or collective.
The awards ceremony will take place on April 19, 2024 at ULiège (HEC Campus)

How to get involved ?
The aim is for each participant/team to submit a photo representing a climate action.
The idea is to use a photograph to illustrate one of your commitments to the climate. This could be an individual or collective action, at home, in your close circle (family, friends, neighborhood, sports club, music club, etc.), on your campus, or a militant commitment to an association or a political cause.
In order for your photo to be judged in the competition, we ask you to respect the following quality criteria:
- Respect of the theme: the photo must represent one or more people carrying out a climate action
- Minimum quality: the photo must be at least 3464 x 2309 px (sufficient quality to be printed in large format for the exhibition)
- Maximum weight: the photo must not exceed 2 MB to be entered in the application form
- Format: the photo must be in landscape (2X3), portrait (3X2) or square format
Who can participate?
The competition is run in collaboration with 8 High School and Universities in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
To take part in the competition, you must be a member (student/staff) of one of these establishments:
- ULiège
- UMons
- HEFF
- HE Condorcet
- HELHa
- HEL
- HEH
- Saint Luc Liège
The 3 stages of the competition
1. Submitting a candidate photo
Participants are asked to submit their photos by midnight on Sunday March 17, 2024, by completing the online registration form linked above.
The photo must be accompanied by a caption explaining the gesture depicted. Be creative!
2. Pre-selection
All candidate photographs will be presented anonymously to the members of the Jury. The Jury will select a maximum of 30 photos based on the theme of "My Climate Gestures".
The 15 to 30 selected candidates will be notified by March 22 maximum.
3. Final vote
The 15 to 30 selected photos will be voted on by by all students and staff of participating educational establishments via an online form open between March 22 and April 12, 2024. Each person may vote only once.
The jury will also select its "Jury Prize" photo. This distinction will be kept secret until the end of public voting on april 12, 2024.
The awards ceremony will take place on April 19, 2024 at ULiège (HEC Campus)
What could you win?
Audience Award
The three works receiving the most public votes will receive :
- For the first winning photo: a Wonderbox 3 Unusual Days of Dreams for 2 people, valued at 200 € including 160 choices.
- For the second winning photo: a Bongo Stay unusual and natural for 2 people worth 100 € including 100 choices.
- For the third prize-winning photoa Bongo Sport and Nature for 1 or more people worth 60 € including 100 outdoor experiences.
Favourite prize per participating establishment
In addition, each participating establishment will designate the photo of one of its members that has received the most public votes. These 8 winners will receive the coup de Coeur" prize of their school, consisting of a honor on campus and a prize specified by the school.
Jury Prize
In addition, the photo chosen as the "Jury Prize will win a photo course worth €300 with the competition sponsor renowned photographer Thomas Meunier (Thomas Meunier Photography - Wildlife photographer).
In addition, all participants who pass the preselectionwill receive chocolate assortment Galler and a thank-you thank-you card to plant.
A person (or a group in the case of group entries) can only receive one prize. If a photo comes first in more than one category, it will win the most valuable prize, with the other prizes going to the second-place photos.
