The aim is for each participant/team to submit a photo representing their view of the forest.

The aim of the competition is to illustrate, through a photograph or a 2-dimensional medium, a facet of the beauty, wonder, reality and emotions that the forest, here or elsewhere, can bring.

This theme can be expressed in very different ways, depending on what it evokes for each and every one of us. You can illustrate landscapes, fauna, flora, atmosphere, details, seasons, human interactions..

In order for your photo to be judged in the competition, we ask that you comply with the following quality criteria:

• Object: the term "Photo" is extended to any printable 2-dimensional medium. Photo montages, drawings, image filters, etc. are accepted.
• Theme : the photo must illustrate the forest or be directly related to it.
• Minimum quality : the photo must be of sufficient quality to be printed in large format for the exhibition (minimum A3).
• Maximum size: photos must be no larger than 10 MB to be included in the application form.
• Format: landscape and portrait formats are accepted. The ratio 2/3 of the photo size must be respected (i.e. 20 cm on one side and 30 cm on the other).
• Respect for third-party rights and copyright: please refer to points 7 and 8 of these rules.

This competition is open exclusively to students regularly enrolled at the Université de Liège and members of staff of the Université de Liège.

Participation can be individual or collective

1. Submitting a candidate photo

Entrants are asked to submit their photo by midnight on October 15, 2025, by completing the online entry form linked above.

The photo must be accompanied by a caption explaining the gesture depicted. Be creative!

2. Pre-selection

All candidate photographs will be presented anonymously to the members of the Jury. The Jury will select a maximum of 30 photos in keeping with the theme "My view of the forest".

The 15 to 30 selected candidates will be notified by November 6, 2025.

3. Final voting

The 15 to 30 photos selected will be put to the vote of all ULiège students and staff via an online form open between November 10 and midday on November 21, 2025. Each person may vote only once.

The jury will also choose its "Jury Prize" photo. This distinction will be kept secret until the end of public voting on November 21, 2025.

All photos passing the pre-selection stage will receive 2 Grignoux cinema tickets.

Audience prize

The 2 photos receiving the most public votes via the voting form will receive :

1. For the first winning photo: a bongo Séjour Insolite et nature worth 99.9€ or a donation of equivalent value to WWF (according to your choice)
2. For the second prize-winning photo: a bongo Discovery & nature activities worth €29.9 or a donation of equivalent value to WWF (your choice)

Jury's Favourite" prize

In addition, the photo chosen as the "Jury's Favourite" will win a voucher worth €75 from WebShop ULiègeor a donation of equivalent value to WWF (depending on your choice)
