What actions can we take in response to this film?

      • This site allows you to calculate your "forest footprint", i.e. an estimate of the impact of your consumption on deforestation
      • 🐂Beef : Reduce your consumption of red meat and avoid industrial and delocalized meat. When you eat meat, opt instead for local, pasture-raised meat that respects animal welfare and the environment.
      • 🌱Soy: Opt for products containing soy from sustainable sources (RTRS certification = Round Table on Responsible Soy) and if possible local ones. Also limit consumption of animal products (meat, dairy products, eggs) from farms fed with imported soy. Buy from small local producers, from whom you can find out about the feed given to the animals.
      • 🌴 Palm oil: In general, avoid products containing palm oil. It is found in food products (often processed products), cosmetics, cleaning products and also in biofuels. This website contains practical advice on how to track down palm oil in food products. If you really must buy products with palm oil, prefer those with the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) label.
      • 📜 Wood and paper products : Favor second-hand or recycled wood products (furniture, toys, etc.). If you really must buy some, favor equipment made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood or local wood. Avoid exotic woods (mahogany, teak, ebony, etc.). Limit your paper consumption and use recycled paper.
      • 🍫 Cocoa (chocolate) and coffee: Limit your consumption and opt for organic and Fairtrade products, which guarantee that the method of production is respectful of the environment and producers.
