What exactly is the greenhouse effect? What are the links between climate change, biodiversity, human health and agricultural yields? What actions can be taken?

The Climate Fresco, based on IPCC studies, is a collaborative game to help you understand the causes and consequences of climate change. In teams of 5 to 8, gradually place the cards on the table and draw arrows between them. Then customize your Fresco by drawing and choosing a title. Finally, share your feelings and ideas for solutions with your group.

Join this participative, fun and visual workshop to understand what makes up our carbon footprint, thanks to proportional-width maps of greenhouse gas emissions linked to our food, housing, mobility, consumption and public services. Then, compare different lifestyle options thanks to numerous maps illustrating different alternatives, and put together your own low-carbon, desirable life à la carte. Take stock of all the beautiful moments you're living that don't emit greenhouse gases! Together, let's invent our low-carbon lives!

Should we give up smartphones, cars or ski resorts? Certain types of smartphone/cars? Certain functionalities?

The answers won't be as clear-cut as yes or no!

The aim of the Renunciation Fresco is to raise awareness of all the implications of giving up a particular object, technology or economic sector.

To put things into perspective, we'll be looking at the raw materials and infrastructure required, the origin of the components, who will be impacted if we give up this object and in what way. Finally, we'll establish a common strategy: what functionalities are we prepared to give up? What must be retained? And what must be created/developed to accompany the renunciation?

It focuses on the levers of action that everyone can take: individuals, companies and local authorities.

For novices and experts alike, it provides a better understanding of how to adopt a more sober form of mobility, both individually and collectively. How can I reduce my impact on the climate? Discover a step-by-step tool that will help you choose between different options and find new courses of action within your reach!

MyCO2 is an interactive conference for groups to simultaneously calculate their carbon footprint, understand the orders of magnitude and the associated climate issues. This workshop was designed by Carbone4 and is based on precise equivalent CO2 emission figures. It's designed to be fun, accessible, guilt-free and based on active learning! Each participant fills in a text describing his or her daily life, obtains his or her result and then modifies his or her choices to see how his or her carbon footprint can be reduced. The tool remains accessible after the conference to continue supporting you in your approach!

Workshop preparation :

For an even more precise estimate of your footprint, remember to find out in advance about your type of installation and your annual heating and electricity consumption. You can also come back to the form after the workshop to adjust the figures. If you use a car, you can enter its model in MyCO2!

Then get to grips with the role of Biodiversity and the threats it faces, by working with your team to place cards on the table and draw the links between them. How can we decarbonize our society by 2050? What individual and collective actions should we take?

The 2tonnes workshop is a 3-hour serious game that takes you to 2050 to reduce your personal carbon footprint and that of all Belgians! The aim is to create a desirable, carbon-neutral world. But why 2tonnes? 2tonnes (of CO2e) is the quantity of greenhouse gases that everyone can emit in 2050 during a whole year in a world where global warming is kept to a maximum of 1.5°C, in order to meet the commitments of the 2015 Paris Agreement. Because knowing how to act and discovering the orders of magnitude is essential if we are to achieve our objective, during the workshop you will experience the next 27 years in accelerated form, and have the choice between several individual AND collective actions (and yes, both types of action are very important!) in order to build a transition scenario to limit climate change.

Demonstrations, fist-pumping actions, concerted action... there are many ways of raising awareness among decision-makers and encouraging them to take action in favor of the climate. This advocacy training course will introduce you to how to identify and develop the best strategy for being heard by those with power.
