It's easy to commit to sustainable development!
There are many ways to reduce our environmental footprint, by consuming better, differently or less. Green Office students can help you put your money where your mouth is, and set up new habits together.
Why challenges to reduce our environmental footprint?
- Because today we are aware that our current consumption patterns far exceed the planet's capacity to provide the necessary resources: we want to live in harmony with our planet and therefore reduce our environmental footprint.
- We want to live in harmony with our planet and reduce our environmental footprint. Because through our consumption choices, we can have an impact, we can be a "Consum'Acteur"!
However, we're often at a loss: we don't know what to do or where to start. Yet today, a sustainable lifestyle is much simpler than in the past. There are many ways to reduce our footprint, by consuming better, differently or less.
Students at Green Office can help you put your money where your mouth is, and set up new habits together!
How can we make an impact?
To make an impact, Green Office invites you to follow a program to implement small, concrete actions aimed at reducing your environmental footprint (in particular, its carbon and water components) in your daily life. These actions will be proposed to you in the form of challenges, field activities or even solidarity activities to take action with local associations.
They concern our eating habits, mobility, object recycling, waste management, consumption of energy, water, plastics, etc., but also societal issues.
To make a greater impact, Green Office suggests following this program collectively on a collaborative digital platform .
"Following a program is structuring. Seeing our habits evolve is stimulating. Acting together on a collaborative platform is exciting! And with 30,000 people at ULiège, we can make a difference!"

What is an environmental footprint?
The environmental footprint is the estimated surface area of the earth that a person or group of people need to produce what is consumed and absorb what is thrown away. It is calculated in hectares. The average Belgian footprint per person was 7.5 gha in 2016(1), whereas the average footprint per person should not exceed 1.7gha.
